Right of withdrawal, returns and refunds


WITHDRAWAL

You can exercise the right of withdrawal, therefore deciding to return the item without giving any reason, within 14 calendar days of delivery. We remind you that in case of withdrawal the costs for returning the item (eg shipping and packaging) are at your expense.

 

Items excluded from the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal can be exercised in relation to any product purchased on Tailgate Gear, with the exception of:

- Items made to measure, customized, made and/or built on order, assembled on order, clearly personalized or that may deteriorate or expire rapidly;

- Sealed items that do not lend themselves to being returned for hygienic reasons or related to health protection and that have been opened after delivery;

- Items that result, after delivery, to be inseparably mixed with other goods.

From the day you notified the withdrawal, if it is approved, you have 14 days to return the products.

 

Refund in case of withdrawal

If you withdraw within 14 days of delivery, you will be reimbursed the price paid for the item. Shipping costs will not be reimbursed.

If the returned items show damage or signs of wear resulting from manipulation that is not necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the same, Tailgate Gear can withhold an amount corresponding to their decrease in value from the refund.

 

Reimbursement terms

The reimbursement of the price of the item for which the withdrawal was exercised, is made within 14 days of receipt of the product.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Returns

If you have purchased a defective or non-compliant item, you are entitled, without incurring any expense, to have the defective product refunded, repaired or replaced.

In this case you will have to follow the return procedure, indicating the reasons and providing images.

 

How to return an item to a seller

To begin the return procedure for an item, contact us via the online form in the Contacts page.

You will have to provide reasons and detailed images to accompany your request.

Note: rejecting a delivery does not mean returning the product; in case of a refused delivery, it may not be possible to provide for a refund.

Should your request for return be approved, you will have 10 days to return and send the product packaged as it was received to protect it during transportation. You must document the packaging and any existing damage before shipping and share it with Tailgate Gear.

In the event of damages caused by not packaging the items as instructed by Tailgate Gear, refunds will reduced, adjusted or cancelled according to the damages and decreased value of the products.

You must select one BRT or DHL as courier to return the product. Occasionally Tailgate Gear will select the courier and arrange the pick up. 

In the event that you do not ship the product within the agreed time, the return procedure will be canceled automatically.

 

Should your request for return not be approved, you will have the opportunity to open a dispute through the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR).

Tailgate gear is not required to refund or replace an order if you refuse to return the item, unless you have agreed otherwise with the seller.

 

Refunds

For some products a refund can be requested without returning the product. This options is at sole discretion of Tailgate Gear. We advise you to check via chat the possibility of obtaining a refund in this way.

Note: rejecting a delivery does not mean requesting a refund, in case of a refused delivery it may not be possible to provide for a refund.

If the request is approved, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase.

If the request is not approved, the refund procedure ends and you will have the opportunity to open a dispute through the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR).
